Blown Away!
Well, hopefully that's the end of the stormsfor this year! Nothing much new here other than mother nature flexing her mucsles.
Had the big windstorm this last weekend. I lost my power on Friday night and got it back Sunday afternoon. Friday night wasn't too bad. The Bf brought me some Mexican food so I had a hot meal. We hung out with the critters and listened to the radio in the dark. I had to work Saturday and then went to the BFS for a hot shower and he took me out to dinner to celebrate his yearly bonus. Now saturday night was COLD! In the end I plastered myself with hand warmers and heat packs, stuffed two cats down under the covers and wore a hat and mittens to bed. The birds fared well. They were alittle cold but Bubba perked up when BF brought him a taco, plus he got a leftover rib or two. Hannah spent most of the time under my shirt and Bill was fine with a seed ball treat. A new catnip toy kept the felines occupied.
Thankfully all my chickens survived without a scratch.
At any rate I am sure glad to have my power and heat back. I have learned how to get a pretty good fire going in the woodstove and that it's always good to keep those little disposable handwarmers around. Plus cats make good bedwarmers.
I did have to throw everything in my fridge out, which was hard with my ever so slight hoarding tendancies. I miss my salad dressing collection!
So sadly, I didn't doo much in the way of spinning or knitting. Not easy in the dark, darn, I wish I had those needles with the little lights in them!
In other news, well there isn't much else ...been working some overtime and oddball hours and trying to get ready for the BF move. It's unbelievable just how much stuff I have in my house.

Glad you kept the home fires burning, and you didn't have to grease the chickens!
