Happy New Year!

Another year coming to an end, time is passing away and a new year brings new friends, experiences and changes. Yeah yeah, blah blah blah..
I was very lucky to have a very nice holiday with family this year.
Spent Christmas eve with the BFS' sister and brother in laws house where we got to play with his neice as well as some of her toys.
Then on Christmas day I spent some time at my brother and Sil's doing the present thing. I scored with some super soft jammies and bathrobe. Spent some quality time visiting and spining and fondling fiber. My Sil also made me a beautiful bracelet with some Sheila Ernst beads. She also made some really nice stitch markers with little sheep charms. She's just plain crafty!

Then is was on the the BF's family gathering at his parents, his sis and Bil and some fanily friends were there too. So there was more playing with the niece ( and her toys) The Bf's Mom did this fun little scavanger hunt for all of us so we were running around the house following clues to find our presents. Once we did we discovered that they were these little puzzle boxes. So we then spent some time messing with them trying to get them open, so that was a lot of fun.

I'm really enjoying my new bathroom, when I'm in my Brady Bunch kitchen I often expect to see Alice appear, just getting in from her hot date with the butcher dude, what was up with that anyway? Were they pimping thier housekeeper for some prime rib? Then as I make my way to the bathroom I can swear I can almost hear angles singing the Hallelujah Chorus..
I suppose I could just walk around my house with my eyes closed until I get to the bathroom and then experience the joy anew.

My poor old house is as old as I am and has now lost the distinction of being the only one on my block not to have had any remodeling done to it. I had a far off fantasy of one day opening my house as a living museum from 1970.
A place where people of my generation can come to relive thier childhoods...shag carpet and all..

Wasn't the butcher's name Sam? I think so.
I'm not sure I'm ready to relive the shag carpet years...
