Guess what? What? Chickenbutt!
Ok sorry had to do it, the picture was too tempting. Had a very busy but productive weekend. Saturday we spent doing a winter clean up. Bf steam cleaned the carpets and I pressure washed the back deck. I also did the bird cages. I like to give them a good scrub down every now and then. So it was a day of upheaval and excitement for all the critters.
On Sunday we had a nice visit from the BF's family. His little neice got so pet Bijoux the bunny and run after a chicken or two. Hannah the "too decided the Bf's Mom needed some grooming and wanted to be her new best friend and Bubba was a little overwhelmed at so many visitors at once so he did a little sqawking. So no one was trampled by a chicken or lost a finger so it was a nice visit.
Later that day we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and went to Snohomish for antique browsing and lunch. There is one store there where according to the BF " They have cool guy stuff, not alot of pretty plates and stuff."
We had lunch at The Oxford, they do really good burgers there.

Now there was a fiber festival on Sunday and yes I did not go, it was a hard decision. But after cleaning house and realizing just how much fiber I actually had I thought I should try some kind of restraint. Yeah, right that and the fact that I had just bought a few pounds of fiber online!
So much for self control...plus I know the Whidby spin in is coming up soon too.

This is just beautiful and a pretty good price too. I've already ordered more of another color AND after seeing my friends Jens lovely sparkly fiber I ordered a buttload of that too.
I'm at work and I can't recall what kind of fiber this is so I'll post it next time.
I can't wait to see what it look slike when I spin it up. This is the kind of motivation I need to finish other yarn still waiting to be plied.

I also learned another good reason why one should own more than one spinning wheel. I managed to twinge something in my left foot so double treadling was uncomfortable, but oh, wait I have a single treade! The day was saved : )
