Bathtime!
This is the Bubba after a shower with the BF. Yes, most parrots will happily join you in the shower now and then. Thsi sometimes makes bathing yourself a little difficult when there is a cockatoo clinging to your head and having a blast screaming and flapping all over the place. It's good for the feathers and pretty good entertainment.
This is another shawl I am working on. It's the same as the purple Fleece Artist I did before but in different colors. I bought both of these kits at Village Tea and Yarn some time ago and love them. They're very easy and after you block them they get big and fit really well. This one is more beige with a little green in it.

After spending about 3 hours yesterday tryign to clean and re-orgainze in the "wool room" I found I hadn't really made any progress at all. My living room used to be the "Fiber Studio" which kind of turned from artfully displayed colourful fiber into giant piles if fiber taking over the room like the blob. Plus the BF and I need more WII playing room. All though I have discovered that while playing wii tennis giant bags of fiber make soft padding for when you trip over the cat going for that volley. Anyway, I leaned that yes, indeed. I gotta alotta wool!

I have been fascinated by my friends attepmts and spinning Fat singles. Having been one for a good long while myself I am can relate : )
I found some old spinning I did when learning but it was more the case of the yo-yo dieter.. Fat skinny fat skinny fat skinny fat skinny. I'll get some pictures on once I managed to force open the closet door that 5oolbs of wool is behind. Funny (well not really) but you hear stories of people who hoard things and die when giant stacks of newspaper topple over on then. You don't hear about that happening with fiber people. Sure, they may disappear for a few days at a time but tey can usually spin or knit their way out and thier friends just assume they are at a fiber festival..
This may be why it would be wise to hide spindles in amongst your stash in case of emergnecy spinning.

Haha! I was laughing just seeing Bubba, but what a hoot your story of fiber and planting spindles and knitting needs was! You have a great point. I NEED more spindles. Yes the fat singles take up the wool faster, and they knit up fast.... they are the friend of the wool collector.
