As usual I have no idea what I'll do with it.
I am also going gangbusters on a scarf that I started a long time ago. It will be my first (hopefully soon) finished project out of my own handspun. It's an interesting pattern where you reverse the pattern at the back of the neck so it form a V shape and the correct, or front side of the pattern will be seen when wearing it. I'll get some pic's up of it.
In other fibery news I blended and spun some purplish mohair with some white merino and some sparkly firestar the other week. It's very pretty but itchy as hell, so who knows what will become of it.

My littlest parrot Bill is has always been at a disadvantage with the cats becuase of his size. They have already learned not to mess with the bigger birds, but Little Bill waddling like mad across the floor isn't as intimidating as a Cockatoo totally puffed out and hissing so the cats aren't too bothered by him. They'll just try to sniff him, sending him into fits of growling.
However yesterday was Bills day, I don't know what goes on in his little birdy noggin but the wheels were turning. I was sitting in the lazy boy with Hannah and Bill. Miss Jasmine unwisely decided that she was going to lounge on the back of the chair. What she didn't take into consideration was that the back of the chair was Bills' territory. He hopped right up there and nipped kitty paws and chased that cat right outta there. He didn't bite her hard ( so don't call Peta on me for Bird VS Cat fights, even ones where the bird wins) He did freak her out enough to let her know that she shouldn't stray on the back of the chair. Of course Bill did have Hannah all puffed and hissy as a back up just in case Jasmine didn't get the point.
In other news, yes I do have something of a life outside of fiber and pets, not much of one but there is one : )
The BF and I had a nice weekend. We did our usual jaunt to Snohomish. the Antique capital of the USA. At least I think that's what they like to say about themselves. There are a lot of Antique stores there... The Bf found another small piece of mammoth ivory for his collection, I think he's already scrimmed it too.
We stopped for dinner at the local Mexican restaraunt on the river and saw a curious thing.
On the river there was a train of geese. The first adult was a Candaian Goose followed by some Canadian adolescent geese then what looked like a white adult domestic goose, then more Canadian looking babies and then a grey domestic goose and more babies. They were all gliding peacefully in a perfectly straight line down the river.
I wonder if wild Canadaian geese would interbreed with domestic geese? Were the domestic geese runaway defectors to the Canadian side? Were they kidnapped? What the heck was going on here?!?! Oh well, I guess the US Canadian relations is still good in the goose world.
On Sunday we went over to the BF's folks house for a Father Day BBQ. As usual we had a great time playing with his adorable niece. Let me tell you she is one smart cookie! ( She's gifted, really, they had her tested when she was an hour old) She can say Unka George and Chrishtina and she can point out that Chrishtina's watch is small and Unka Georges watch is big. Her favorite past time is being hoisted up and down by Unka George.
Well thats all the news for now folks : )
