What do you do when it's 98 degrees out and you have a bad cold? Park your butt infront of the air conditioner and knit dishcloths. The first one is an open lace pattern and the other I did for the BF. You cant really see it very well in the photo but it's in the pattern of an anchor. Crap it was hot this week. Add a stuffy nose and headache and it's a recipe for misery. Even the chickens got ice water on the hottest day. I think out of all the critters the cats suffered the most. Even fluffy Bijoux bunny got a dunk in a sink of cool water and she didn't seem to mind it too much.

Now, last weekend we drove up to Neah Bay and went to the beach there. They had signs everywhere saying that anything on the beach belongs to the Macaw tribe so here is a picture of a sand dollar that I didn't take home with me : ) It was a very nice beach and there were interesting tide pools with anemonies and starfish in them.

We also went to the Macaw tribal musuem. It was very cool, they had lots of stuff that they had dug up from a mudslide on the coast that happened back in the 70's Lots of baskets and even cedar bark clothing. There was even a blanket that was made up of feathers, nettles and dog hair. it seems the Macaws weren't much into weaving other than using dog hair for some things. On our way home we stopped and got some freshly smoked salmon and boy was it good!

That looks like a great trip. Hey, you TOOK a photo! Haha... glad to hear you haven't melted with the heat. Hope you have the weekend off to get better from your cold too. Bummer those summer colds anyway.
