Pig Pile at the Fair!!

Now doesn't that look cozy? These are the photos from my first of three visits to the local fair this year. Yes, it's true I am a fair-o-holic. I went with the BF last night and will be there again tomorrow with my sis in law in the sheep barn demonstrating spinning and then again on Sunday for the local Spin in.

We did the rounds of all the animals and saw some of Pine farms lovely Romneys getting a trim and some chin scratches. There seems to be some different sheep breeds this time, I saw Cotswolds and Sheffields along with the Romneys, dorsets and others. I really enjoyed the chicken barn, and even noticed someone had some Frizzles for sale....Hmmmmmmm

The Bf really liked watching the kids show thier dogs and he was particularly fond of a beautiful big mastiff dog.

Here is a very pretty Macaw that was apart of an animal rescue display

Here are the little wrist warmers I made, they got a second or third I think. I think they would have done better if I had been brave enough to put thumbs on.

This is a shawl of homespun Sebastian merino that I had made some time ago. I had not orgianally planned to enter anything until the last minute so theses were what I could find.

Here are all the lovely skeins done by Pacific Northwest spinners, lotta ribbons!!

We both really enjoyed the Draft horse and Mule extravaganza. It's pretty amazing when they get the teams of 8 huge horses thundering around the arena. All the time and work it must take to get those elaborate harnesses and equipment on those horses is amazing.
