It's a hot one today...

Hot enough for ya? I think they say it got into the 90's today. That's a little too hot for yours truely. I took extra precations as far as the animals. Plenty of water for everone. The chickens even enjoyed little puddle baths from the hose. I put the sprinkler on too but they seem to prefer just to splash their feet in water.
Good thing the brand new fancy dancy poultry waterer came yesterday, now if only I can teach them to quit kicking dirt into it we'd be fine.

The BF (boyfriend) was over tonight (since I'm the one with the portable air conditioner) and we saw a beautiful hawk come and land on my fence. I't a real pretty bird, I think it might be a sharp shinned hawk. Bf thought it obviously was a chicken hawk and I have to agree the way it was making eyes at some of my girls.

Some of my chickens were about twice it's size but I worry about my little Bantams. At least there are plenty of places for them to hide.

The BF and I are off to Vancouver BC tomorrow to do some musuem visiting.
That's one thing I really miss about living in London. Feel like a terrific musuem? Natural History? The one and only British Museum? Only a short tube ride away.
I regret that I didn't spend more time in them when I lived there, but then I was busy making a living etc.
Anyhoo, that's all for now folks.

May you live out your life
Without hate, without grief
And your hair ever blaze,
In the sun, in the sun,
When I am undone,
When I am no one. (Theodore Roethke (1908-1963),
