Nothing much new to report here. Been busy being sick with the same bug that took down my co-workers one by one last week.
I've also been enjoying the stormy weather we've been having too. The winds blew so hard today it blew a few feathers off one of the chickens.
This is a picture of Bill the Biter, AKA Turd Burd. He went to the vet last weekend to have his overgrown beak trimmed.
The vet gave him a clean bill of health, other than his Bill which led to a bill for me...anyway, nice try but no cigar..
Here's is Bill after his trimming. I'm sure he feels much better and I feel a little better when he bites at any rate. The vet had to laugh when I introduced Bill as "Bill the Biter" He said "Oh let me guess he's a Jardine" Jardines are great birds, but not a good choice for the beginner bird

Anyhoo, here's a photo of some very nice stuff from Blue Ridge Silk Works I have been spinning. It is a hand painted Merino-Mohair called Sicilian Summer. It is spining up nicely. It's kind of funny becuase the roving has some rather deep pink in it that doesnt seem to go with the other colors but when it's plied it really adds some zing to the colorway.
The other photo is one of some yarn I am setting the twist on. I found that my shower parrot perch works really well for the task and I can just take it down when I want to actually shower, which I do on a daily basis, just in case anyone was wondering...
This is her highness Princess Jasmine lounging on her Sheep Shed "Bell" They are those 'Bells" of fiber they sell, I've acutally spun some and they are nice but they also make very nice warm cat shelf covers. When I first got some and they arrived in a big box I even found the cats helping themselves to one of these comfy bells.
That's all for now folks, I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and may your Christmas shopping be fruitful and include fiber....
