Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year. My sil and brother and family went down to her folks farm for the holiday so I went with the Bf over to his folks. We had a terrific turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans and delicious pumpkin pie for desert.
Bf's sis and bro-in-law were there with the ever adorable niece . She is quite the chatterbox. She knows all her ABC's and even a few songs. She seemed to have a fun time and especially enjoyed a little pie with her whip cream. She was nice enought to tell me and her Unca that we looked beautiful when we arrived. Maybe she knows christmas is coming?
With family friends there we all had a very nice time and Bfs Mom put on a great spread.
Of course we couldn't forget Bubba, he got a nice turkey wing to gnaw on.
Sadly I have to work tomorrow, I'm sure it will be pretty slow. I am trying to get everything done for christmas so I won't have to worry about anything when I have my surgery and I'm glad to say I am almost done with all my christmas shopping!
I spent most of today fixing up the chicken run. The netting had come away from teh fence in quite a few places. I still need to patch a few more places. Before the attack the girls had free range of the entire backyard. Now they don't want to go to sleep in the coop and I have to carry them one by one to put them to bed every night and lock up the coop and tie the door shut just in case. Eventually I need to get the run as coon proof as possible becuase it's getting too cold to be chasing chickens around every night. Plus I won't be able to chase them for awhile after the operation and I can't really see the BF out there hearding hens.
