Is this scientific evidence that knitting can cause insanity?

11/29/07 4.50pm
After numerous froggings and curse words I decide to just finish the damn hat and start all over again with a new one.
I tell Bf here, this is a house hat for you, you can sleep in it or just wear it around the house, there are few little lumps in it so I am starting another better one.

5.03pm Bf gratefully accepts said hat. Gives it a look over and says "theres nothing wrong with it, it's okay " and promptly sticks it on his head.

5.10pm As I cast on for the new improved hat I find that I can't stop glaring at the imperfect hat on BFs head. I see lumps and what might possibly be a dropped stictch that I completey missed, Oh God how can I go on living?!?

5.43pm After casting worried glances over at me BF wants to know why I keep staring at him like that. I tell him the horrible news that there may be a dropped stitch on the hat. he removes hat, looks at it for 1.3 seconds, shrugs and puts it back on his head. He does not notice that I grimmace and bite my knuckles as he does this. I am almost dissapointed that he doesnt scream and fling the repulsive article from him becuase of the hugely obvious dropped stitch. Is he blind??

6.03pm knit furiously on new improved hat and force myself to ignore the monstrosity on Bfs head.

6.15pm Bubba parrot attepts to clean messy beak on the monster hat on BFs head. Bf attepts to discourage him as usual. Leave him be! I cry Even the bird sees the dropped stitch!!

1.26am It's dark and he wore the hat to bed, I can hear that dropped stich moving over there, and the lumps are multiplying like wet gremlins, I just know it.

1.47am I wonder if I can actually touch the hat and feel for the lumps without waking up BF. I decide against it as I cannot come up with any reasonable sounding excuse for poking him in the head at 2 in the morning

9.30am next day
Notice Bfs usual hat laying on the bed which means ....he wore the house hat out of the house!!

9.35am Wonder what the hell happened to me? It's just a hat and it doesnt look that bad or anything. Decide to forget it's existance and continue on the new improved hat and decide that I have just fallen into another deeper section of the vortex
