Well the BF abd I had a very nice weekend away at Long Beach. We stopped at a couple of lighthouses and the Lewis and Clark interperative center. That was pretty interesting. I especially liked seeing a real California Condor feather, it had to be about 14 inches long and the shaft was a thick as my pinky finger.

Here is the beach at Leadbetter point on the Wilapa Bay
At Oysterville we had to stop at the Wilapa Bay Oyster store for some fresh and smoked Oysters. Bf also got some dried cranberries and we each got a shooter for the road

This was from our early morning walk on the beach right out front of our hotel The Edgwater. Saturday night we ate at the restuarant there called the Lightship and had a yummy dinner

I kept an eye out for birds to take picture of for Bf's Mom. Here above are a a few running along the beach. Bf thought they were sandpipers, I thought they might be some kind of plover?

This is the church in Oysterville

Apparently having the "Longest Beach in the world" isn't enough for Long Beach, they also have this really big frying pan for some reason. Somewhere around town I saw a news article with a picture of Roddy McDowell with the frying pan. Go figgure?
Now back to birds, after spotting a few they were quicky joined by a few more

and a few more

and then they decided to get away from the lady snapping pictures of them

This is Cape Disappointment. The weather was pretty rainy on saturday but on Sunday the sun came out and it was a lovely day. We also paid a visit to Marshes free Museum, It's just like Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe downtown Seattle but bigger and better in my opinon.
Lots of antiques and taxidermy things to look at and the have Jake, the half man half alligator there too.
We had a great time and will probably go back again. Bf brought one of his hand made cameras and got a few pictures.
