Just when you need to come up for air we get a 3 day weekend.. : )

Bf and I had a nice weekend. One Saturday we hung around the house, did a few chores and enjoyed the sun in the backyard.
The babies are growing up fast. Every now and then I will hear a peep peep peep BAGOK peep peep..
The coopcam is great I have an alarm set up the goes off when they go into the coop at night so I can check on them and when everyone is tucked in I can lock them up. No further sign of the evil racoon. I still have the water jet thingys and more alarms to set up to nail his ass.

Sunday we went to Poulsbo. On the way we stopped by Port Orchard and I was stunned to see that The Artful Ewe wasn't in the old firehouse. There was a sign saying she had moved but I couldn't find where she had gone to. So we moved on. In Poulsbo we shopped the stores, had lunch at JJ's ( very good fish and chips!). We also sasw the Marine Science thingy, I call it a thingy becuase all it consited of was a few starfish, one crab, one trout, two jellyfish and a few anenomies.
On our way back the BF thoughtfully swung by Port Orchard again seaching for The Artful Ewe and we found her! She's moved from the old firehouse to the old butchers shop. A smaller place but it still looked lovely, lots of fiber, yarn and wheels. Of course I didn't get out of there without finding some fiber that had to come home with me.

The Bf has been working on some scrimshaw. This is some kind of palm nut called Tagua. When it's polished it looks like Ivory and it often called " Vegtable Ivory"
The design he did is a North American Indian one of a Beaver

Sounds like a great weekend! The fiber is gorgeous, can't wait to see it spun up.

Tagua nut is often used for buttons. The carving is so cool.
