Greetings kiddies
Nothing much too exciting going on these days. Bf and I spent a very nice Mothers Day with Bf's Mom. We went for a nice hike out at Lords Trail out in Snohomish. It's a great park, not too hilly, ponds with beaver dams and a fantastic view point with wild strawberries and lots of wildflowers.
After our hike we did lunch at The Cabbage Patch, which is always good.
Been busy in the garden. trying to stay on top of things this year. Lets's see, so far I have planted
Brussels sprouts
potatoes
spaghetti squash
Cucumber
Mustard Greens( the parrots love these!)
Zuccini
2 different kinds of pumpkin
Several kinds of tomatoes
A few different kinds of lettuce
Swiss chard
strawberries
Raspberries
Beans
Peas
corn
I still have some cabbage left to put in,
The fruit trees are doing well so far. No sign of those annoying apple aphids I had last year. It looks like we night actually get some cherries this year too. I may even get to use my fancy dancy cherry pitter thingy ma jig and make a pie or something.
Added some herbs this year too, basil, couple kinds of lavander, thyme, oregano, chives, rosemary, mint and some other ones that I am still not quite sure what they are. I had pulled up a dying rosemary bush and a tarragon plant that was fading and found what I think is a marjoram plant and a spearmint that had been quitely living under the other two old
plants
Got a giggle out of this ; )
