Bubba here is making sure the fridge is well stocked for Super Bowl Sunday.

Well last year I was all gung ho in the garden and then as usual life kinda got in the way and I let things go to the chickens so to speak. I had forgotten some Brussels sprouts I had planted around in the side yard.
With the weather being so warm I had pretty much given up on them since I know there are supposed to really prefer cooler weather. So went I went to check on them I was dissappointed to see that there had in fact been some sprouts, but they had all already been eaten!
As you can see the sprouts have been eaten right off the stalks. I am going to place most of the blame on the chickens. I can see them standing around pecking away. Either that or one of the many squirrels out there had a nice salad bar.

With the weather being so mild here I am already planning the garden for spring. I'd really like to get some raised beds in and try some square foot gardening.
In other  news I have started a new part time job.I work for a company as a caregiver for elderly clients. It's pretty different from any kind of work I've done before, lots of driving here and there and navigating large assisted living complexes. So far so good though, I have met some nice people so far.
All I can say is thank God the BF gave me a Garmin GPS system for Christmas, I would be so screwed without that.
