The BF has been very good about putting various critters to bed when I am working overnight. Once again BF has taken over the garage with a project, this time he is building a boat. Yep a small sailboat. I say small even though it will be able to carry up to 3 people. So far he's got all the wood parts cut out and curing. When I get some "In progress pictures" I'll post them.
With the weather being so mild it has been hard for me to resist messing about in the garden. Got lots of potatoes ready to go, just need to get the ground ready, started some zucchini and corn.
Once again I am going to try to simplify things this year. Stick to a few basic vegatables (ones that we like and will actually eat)
I'd really like to get some raised beds set up this year too.
So shortly the chickens will find themselves back in thier own run.
I stumbled upon this neato product at my local feed store, it's called the Flock Block. It's a big ol' chunk of seeds and good things for poultry. All you have to do is dump one on the ground and let them at it. They really seem to like it, as do the wild birds and the squirrels. It's handy becuase I can just look out the window and see the block status rather than have to go down to the coop and check.

And here is another thing of interest. I don't normally pay much attention to these kinds of things but I do think it's important topic that deserves attention.
