Fiber quest!
I did manange to get some power fiber shopping therapy in last weekend. Barb and I headed out to the Whidby Spin in on Sunday. She had already been the day before but was nice enough to go with me on Sunday. We didnt get to visit very long with friends but did get to see some peeps. After a long period devoid of fiber shopping I went awol. I got a very nice CVM fleece I am splitting with Barb. We left it with a processor at the show. Also some lovely 3 bags full stuff as well as some Black Hills Gold Crosspatch creations I had before. I had spun most all of it and had a little bit left over and now I have even more! After I spin it all up I am sure I should have anough for a shawl.

Let's see, what else, my mind is a blur...I got some Brown Llama roving, some very nice stuff from Sarah Anderson called as well as some of her soaps. I hit up The Artful Ewe again, er twice this time for some more beastiful batts, I think they are called Kitsap colors. I had gotten some batts from them before and after seeing some spun up yesterday I realize I spun mine way too fine and it does much better in a heavier weight. So I had to buy more to try again. Plus I got some lovely Merino Alpaca stuff that is soooooooooo soft and spins like buddah.
I also stocked up on my favorite loose teas from the Tea Lady. So all in all we had a very nice time and got in some theraputic fiber shopping.

Here are my new neighbors. They hung around the cul-de-sac where I live last year and have returned this year too. I think they get fed quite a bit sine they followed the BF from his truck to the front door and hung around until we gave them some bread. I'm just glad they haven't figured out that there already lots of bread and chicken food in my backyard.
