The Bf and I had a very nice 4th, a little quieter than previous years. Of course I had to do my ritual of watering the house, yard, chickens and anything remotely flammable. There didn't seem to be as many big foreworks in the nighbourhood this year which was nice. The birds were a little nervous and there were a couple of puffy cats now and then but all in all not bad.

I got lucky this year and my new schedule or working 4 10 hour days kicked in this week. So not only did I have the 4th off I had the 5th too. So Bf and I decided to make the best of it and set out early for Vancouver BC, We drove up to the Museum of Anthropolgy to see the Canadian Indian exhibits nad totem poles and stuff.
I didn't take any pictures entry of this blog this trip becuase I took a whole bunch our last trip and they are back on the first entry of this blog. But guess what I found there? A book on Canadian Cowichan knitting! There are some pretty interesting pictures where they took those old fashioned pedal sewing machines and turned them into spinning wheels.

After the museum we went on to Stanley Park. It's a huge park with some pretty cool totem poles.
I also got a very nice print of signed Indian Art called Raven Steals the Sun. This trip was last Thursday. I worked on Friday and then on Saturday the BF and I took off again for the coast. We drove out to the Macaw reservation ar Neah Bay and went to the museum there. There will be more about that trip in the next blog entry of this summer blog-o-rama!
