Unknown Critter
There has been an odd creature in my backyard. I've only seen glimpses of it and it's dark brown almost black, pretty fat and round looking and ot appears to have no tail. Every time I have seen it I have only caught glimpses of it dashing back under the deck, so I have only seen it's backside. Then today I noticed these leaves from the Hosta plant had been chewed off the plant and dragged over to the side of the deck. I found them just as there are in the picture. All in a little pile. I'm pretty sure rats wouldn't bother to move plant leaves like that and I know chickens can't do that so what could it be? A gopher maybe?
