Fiberliscious!!
Here's whats been happening on the fiber front. Above is some more lovely stuff from Kopec creations on Ebay. I really like her stuff, quality fiber and very nice colorways. I forgot what the top skein color was but the bottom one is Mardi Gra
This is some simply wonderful stuff I got at the Whidby spin in from Three bags full. Of course I can't remember what fiber mix it was but it is the sqwooshiest, softest stuff I have spun yet. It' just bloomed like crazy and it's a 2 ply as well. I'm thinking this will have be some kinf od slipper or socks....
Here are some pretty fiber balls I got from another Ebay vender, Baalwool I think. Very nice soft wool, the red and white feels like a merino and the other has a little more bounce to it so I'm guessing BFl maybe. The colors are candy cane and menthol

Wow, look at all this yarn, what's Mom going to do with it all??
This is a little something I am working on. It's some nice lace weight yarn I had and it's the same shawl pattern I did before with the Seabstian handspun. I think this will be a lightweight but warm shawl in the end and it's good mindless knitting. I have a ton of the yarn so it's going to be big.
This is Fiber Trends Paws to Remember scarf. I'm using some nice merino handspun that's probably a little too heavy a weight for this pattern but I'm liking the way it's looking so far. This will be a challenging lace project for me, it's kind of hard to concentrate sometimes when there's birds crawling all over you
The green skein is some very nice mixed angora/merino/sparkle batts from Spinning Bunny. I got another one in a pink color too. The lighter skein is that pretty stuff Barb brought me from Black Sheep. I have no idea what it will turn into.....but it sure is pretty!

Recently I have been reading a book about the Haida Gwaii Canadian Indians.
They have a facinating history and culture. The BF has a very cool book all about the village of Massett in the Queen Charlotte Islands. the book explains alot about how they would name thier longhouses and how a person can have several ceremonial names. Some houses were called names like "House always waiting for visitors" or "House that is always dark becuase no sun shines near there" They also gave people names based on events in thier lives. The man who lived in "House that is always dark becuase no sun shines near there" was appropriately called " Wants more summer light in his house"
One poor lady appaerntly had trouble getting a lid back on to a basket so she was called " Always drops basket lid and looses whats inside"
There was one name that made me do a double take though... "He who makes loud noise of unknown origin" I shit you not. Think about it... One social Faux Pax and it's your name for the rest of your life.

This got me to thinking of names for my house. "House full of sheep hair and loud screaming birds that throw food and poop on people" or
"House that never runs out of toilet paper" or " House where dandilions perplex man living there and make him most irritated"

"House of feathers and fiber and new bathroom" is a good one too.
