I see yarn, I see yarn everywhere!


Here are some of the fruit trees in the backyard. I'm going to have to think of 101 things to do with pears!
Below is some super nice merino silk I got from Coppermoose on Ebay. I am half heartedly following along with the Tour de Fleece thingy with this and I have been experimenting with spinning from the fold.
Nothing much else to report. I'm working 4 10 hour days with a weekday off. Gotta say I like having that extraday off but I'm pretty brian dead after yakkin for 10 hours!!
Mr Gopher hasn't been spotted for awhile, I assume he\she is still under the deck. I'm going to put off trying to catch him\her because I don't want to cart him\her off if there might be baby gophers under there somewhere.

In other animal news Hannah the cockatoo, after living with me for about 5 years now, decided to eat collard greens all by herself!!!!!!! It's only in the last year or so that she decided it was ok to share people food ( only the kind that's good for peeps and parrots that is) with the BF and now she will happily chow down on greens by herself!! Getting a parrot to eat stuff thats good for them can sometimes be a big challenge.
