Pictures from the Wooden Boat Festival!
Bf did his usual stint as a host on the Arthur Foss and I went down to see the sights and visit. There were some good tall ships there, The Lady Washington ( used in the Pirates of the Carribean movie).the Hawaian Chieftan in the pix below
Here is a nice picture of the Arthur Foss, notice he crooked bow from years of use. It was very popular as usual and it was a treat to see the big diesel engine running. It's not as loud as you might think. The steamer Virginia  5 gave short cruises and docked with her steam engine running also.
I was suprised to find my favorite boat there. I had seen it before at the Port Townsend boat festival. It's called the  M.V. Lotus. It's a luxury  Edwardian yacht and is on the national register for historic places.
This thing is so cool...when you step on board you step into a beautiful Edwardian parlour. It has several bedrooms, a good sized bathroom with a tub and a kitchen and a working fireplace!
The picutre above is of the upper deck, a view of the back deck, the fireplace
Here's the kitchen
For more info on this boat see this site http://www.mvlotus.org/
