A tropical Day out!
The Bf and I had a very nice weekend. We went to a Bf family holiday brunch at an Uncles house, there were uncles, aunts, babies and a "nancy" dog running around plus lots of nice food. So a good time was had by all
Then on Sunday we went to see some interesting modern art at the Asian museum and then we wandered down to the Volunteer park conservatory. ON the way we were acosted by a bold squirrel who seemed pretty miffed that I didn't have any treats for him.

There were lots of pretty flowers in the conservatory and they even have a nice collection of orchids. The odd thing is that they have to keep them behind bars. I guess to keep people from picking them.

In other news things at work are kinda frazzling, I am on a safetly team and we are supposed to ensure the safety of an office during an earthquake with a budget of absolutely nothing! Gotta love that!
It looks like I may need to find a new home for some of the flock. I had two Bantams running around on my roof the other morning. Seems like no matter what I do I can't keep those guys from sneaking out. So I need to stick to the bigger girls that can't wiggle under or fly over fences!

Of course I couldn'r pass up this interesting cactus!

Cool! I didn't know you traveled to exotic places recently. Looks like a great trip, especially with the weather we've been having. Nice to get into the warmer climate.
