A normal hat!
Finally I can rest easy I made the BF a normal hat that both he and I are pleased with. It's also made from my handspun so it's a hat from scratch. No major lumps in this one. While I was finishing it up the BF handed me a newspaper article from the Sunday Times about a lady who wrote a book about knitting just for boyfriends and husbands. We all know the boyfriend sweater curse.. This gal has written a book of patterns tailored for guys... hats and gloves etc. Sooooooo is this a hint? Will I have to overcome my knitted sock phobia after all? He does like to wear a pair that my sil made him for xmas last year. Things that make you go hmmmmm

We had a blustery weekend with snow and rain. The chickens had been locked inthier run all week and I had let them out on the weekends and they were good enough to go back home to the coop as soon as it gat dark. The problem was once the rain started it weighed down all the snow already on the netting of the run and pulled some of it down. So I had to go out in the rain and fix nearly everything I had fixed before on Thanksgiving! While I was making repairs I discovered a few places where something ( Hmmmm racoon maybe???) had tried to dig under the fence. Thankfully I had put chicken wire all around the bottom when I first had the run built. SO he only got sa far before he ran in to it.
I told the BF that all I wanted for christmas was a dead racoon!

Anyhoo, we're being flooded out here in Whoville, took me awhile to get into work with several roads being closed. Now I just hope the chickens don't float away! I'll get pictures up of the glorious hat in all its perfect gloriousness as soon as I can
