I also had to hit up Crown Mountain fibers. I love thier stuff and already have a lot of it. The pencil roving is great for spinning as well as locker hooking
Here is some buttery soft merino baby camel that I couldn't wait to start spinning
Here's a cute little quilted project bag we found
I love Gita Marie's stuff, expensive as it is there's no denying it's absolutley georgous. I finally broke down and bought some lovely chicken earrings as well as a pretty shawl pin that I hope will go with a purple shawl I have and a black one I am working on.
Here is Bijoux, she gets to come out and run around every now and then..I think maybe she'd like to learn how to spin some of her own fluff
Here is Miss Jasmine assisting in spinning. Which to her is trying to eat what I am spinning. Since she was insistant on being on my lap I decided to let her have a go on her own, as you can see by the look on her face she's not impressed
Today turned out to be nice. Since we were so slow at work they were letting some peeps go early and my name got picked. Plus the BF has today off so I got to come home and spend the rest of the day together. He's out on the deck burning his scalp in the sun, or as he calls it "getting some colour" Poor guy, he has to digest the news that I am planning on getting more chickens!! His response was " Well of course you need more chickens, I don't think we have enough chicken poop out in the backyard yet"
I found a great company on the internet where you can order specific breeds with a minimum of 3!!! Most places require you to get 20 at a time in order to ship them. This company uses some kind of new heating pack so they can ship smaller numbers.
So I am really wanting a Jersey Giant, I've alreay picked out a name for her, Carmella Soprano. I am thinking of an Austrolorp and maybe a Delaware. All good layers and hardy hens. I think the BF knew there was no use in trying becuase I am already picking out names. So watch this space maybe in a while there will be some little chicks!!
On Saturday Bf and I took Hannah cockatoo out for a ride in the car. She has a vet appointment and she needs to be more socialized. She wasn't too crazy about it but she did ok. That night we went to see Lisa Lampinelli, that is one crass hilarous woman and she really puts on a great show
