More on York!




Here is the York minster. This cathedral has more medieval stained glass than all the rest of Great Britain combined.


It was absolutely stunning. It was kind of hard to get it on film, but here goes.















I apologize for the poor quality of the photo below. (It was dark in there!) The guide pointed it out to me saying " It was once believed that women had a habit of sticking their noses into other peoples business, so this carving was a warning of what might happen should a woman sucumb to this sin" In other words she gets her nose tweaked by a bird on her head. Now this gave me pause for thoought since it happens to me on a regular basis...hmmmmm
