Ok kiddies on with the show, this interesting painting I came across in the York Merchant Adventures Hall was painted By John Farrington hmmm
Here we have the Shambles, it an actual name of a few very narrow winding streets in the center of York. It used to be mostly butchers and at one time was aparently a great bloody mess, literaly. Which is how the word Shambles got it's meaning
And some ruins of an ancient church
And yes folks it is true!! 8 hours on a plane, 2 on a train, a few miles of walking to what? A YARN SHOP!!! If you click on the picture you can read the sign that's hanging, I notice instead of yarn they call it Knitting Wools. And yes I did get some
