We interrupt the tour of England for a little chicken update. While we were gone my sil was looking after all my critters and had collected a few eggs that the big girls had laid. One was really small. I thought it odd but then I found another tiny egg today. The two tiny ones are next to normal sized eggs. I don't know why the girls would lay such a small egg. I can only think it might be from the stress of the latest Coon attack.
With the weather being so crazy here I have not been able to let the chicks outside like I normally would do. They are getting big and usually by n ow I would have them spending time outside in a cage getting used to the world and letting the other chickens see them. So since it's been raining and snowing we have to settle for hanging out by the sliding glass door. When the sun comes out for a minute they all automatically start stretching and trying to take a dust bath.
