Bf and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and go on a day trip this weekend. We drove up to Vancouver BC and spent the day in the city.

We went to the Vancouver Maritime Museum where they have the RCMP St Roch

It was a nice museum and the best part was that you could walk around on the boat. We then went to the Vancouver Museum. It was pretty good. Reminded me of the Museum of history and industry here is Seattle. No where near the caliber of The London Museum or The Royal Bc Museum, but then again I am a confessed museum snob.

After the museums we went to Granville Islands Winter-ruption festival. It's a cool place, lots of shopping, art and street entertainment all surrounded by a marina. After lots of walking and dinner at a lovely restaurant we headed back to the car. It was then my yarn radar went off. I saw a yarn shop.. I wish I could recall the name but I was in such a state of surprise I just ditched the bf and made a beeline for some fiber I saw through the open door. It was a nice shop and had an extensive selection of fiber dyes, most I've seen anywhere. Of course I had to take some lovely Merino home, its called "Schoppel Wolle, Fitzwolle ombre kommzug wollefelting" So I got some wool from Germany in Canada It was such an unusual colourway I am anxious to see how it spins up.
